An Iliad
Just Closed
Staging An Iliad at California’s First Theatre was both a privilege and a powerful creative challenge—bringing a timeless tale of war, memory, and humanity into a space layered with its own deep history. The intimacy and raw character of the venue demanded a stripped-down, emotionally immediate approach that allowed the language and performance to reverberate through the bones of the building. Directing this piece in such a historic space reminded me that storytelling is, at its core, an act of presence—one that bridges centuries in the flicker of a moment.

Upcoming Event!
Life Sucks. by Aaron Posner
Directing Life Sucks. is an exciting adventure. I’m drawn to how the play holds deep sadness and sharp humor in the same breath—how it invites us to sit in the mess of being human, and still laugh out loud. I’m approaching this production with a focus on intimacy and connection: between characters, with the audience, and within the space itself. We’re staging it in-the-round, which lets us lean into the emotional rhythms and private moments that make these people feel real. There’s something deeply alive in this play, and I’m excited to explore it with this incredible cast and creative team.
